Landini joins other tractor makers showing new models for first time in the UK

With more than 450 stands booked, the 2009 LAMMA show on 21 and 22 January at the Newark showground promises to be not just the biggest indoor machinery show of the year, but also to give farmers a chance to see many of the newest tractors in the flesh for the first time.

These include the 270-370hp MF8600 tractors from Massey Ferguson, the similarly sized S Series Valtra models, the updated Challenger tracked tractors, Deutz-Fahr’s big TTV630 CVT tractor, Claas’s Axos tractors and Deere’s new 5R up-to-100hp models (plus its electric power producing E-Premium tractor).

New 210hp and 225hp additions to the Case Puma CVT range are also likely to be there, plus the McCormick CX tractors with their new cabs. And it will be a first chance to see Deutz-Fahr’s first rotary combine on UK soil, too.

The latest manufacturer to announce a UK debut at the event is Landini, with its high-spec Power- Mondial tractor in the popular 100hp power band aimed at both livestock and arable farmers.

On display will be the 110hp PowerMondial 115, the manufacturer’s most powerful four-cylinder tractor. There will also be 102hp and 92hp versions.

Power is provided by Perkins 110-44 series engines with mechanical fuel injection driving through a new power shuttle creep transmission. For the first time from Landini, a three-speed power splitter is fitted.

A new four-post MasterClass cab is claimed to provide spacious accommodation and good all round visibility.
