Eight months after it took a minority interest in the German grass machinery maker Mengele, Dutch machinery giant Lely is moving towards a comprehensive forage machinery offering with the announcement that the distribution of the forage wagon range has been brought forward to 1 February 2010 to catch the spring season.
The first public showing of the Lely Tigo wagon range will be at next week’s Doe Show in Essex (2-4 February).
Improvements on the machine include upgrading the chopping device to include 40 knives. The entire cutting bar is also now easily swiveled out from under the wagon to make maintenance easier and knife-changing more accessible.
Three machines will be added initially to the range of demonstration equipment that Lely UK takes to UK farms.
