Irish company HI Spec first launched its XL1250 horizontal-disc muckspreader five years, but has now given it a spruce up. A flow divider that can be raised or lowered has been fitted between the discs.

This allows the operator to use a higher setting for FYM and a lower one for spreading chicken manure or compost and get a good result in each case.

Heavier-duty flails have been fitted and the hood is now adjustable with a turnbuckle. The previously straight sides have been replaced with curved ones to improve capacity and allow material to be pushed out more easily.

Cost is £32,500.
