The 2013 range of dryers from Suffolk firm Master Farm Services includes new operating systems on both electric and pto models.
An audible alarm or auto cut-off alerts the operator of potential overflows when the dryer is being loaded. An internal moisture meter is now incorporated to monitor grain temperature and moisture content and cut off the burner when the predetermined moisture level is reached.
A new messaging system also automatically sends a text or call to the operator to tell him that drying has finished or his attention is needed. Electric-drive models now come with touchscreen controls and a comprehensive menu control that has a top-up facility to compensate for shrinkage of the grain as the moisture is removed.
