MF combines from 1956 and 2008 go head to head

We all know that combine capacity has increased massively over the last few years, but here’s visual proof.


When Hereford-based Massey Ferguson dealer Ross Farm Machinery got its new demonstrator this month, the firm’s Tim Parsons took the opportunity to get a local enthusiast’s machine in a field of rape at the same time.

One is a 1956 Massey Harris 735 bagger machine with a 5ft 6in cut, the other is the lastest MF7278 with 25ft cut.  Apparently the little-un managed to get half a bag or so of crop.
