Min-till enthusiasts know drill

The latest min-till weapon for those looking to reduce costs is the Lo-Till drill from Lincs-based John Dale Zero Till Drills.

The 4m mounted machine uses an Accord seed metering system to deliver seeds to four rows of tine coulters that offer 50cm clearance between tines.

Designed to follow a cultivator, the firm says a tractor of 100hp is required to operate the drill at speeds in excess of 13kph (8mph). Expect the Lo-Till drill to cost 14,000 – less than half the cost, says the firm, of its 4m direct drill.
