A new and improved version of the Hawk nozzle is being launched by Syngenta.
While retaining the same 40-degree angle to improve spray coverage, the width of the spray pattern from each nozzle has been reduced by closing the fan angle slightly from 130 to 118 degrees.
That should give better spray uniformity along the boom, says the company’s Tom Robinson.
“In addition we’ve also re-engineered the nozzle to remove a small internal ledge.
This smooths out flow of liquid through the nozzle which in turn gives a more even spray distribution across the spray swath.
Removal of the ledge also reduces the chance of blockage.”
