The combine, which had a full tank of diesel, caught alight at 6pm on Tuesday 11 September.  Two fire appliances from Crieff attended the scene.

The combine was owned and operated by D Scougall and Son, contractors from Madderty, Crieff.

Jamie Roberts, who sent the pictures in for Farmers Weekly’s Harvest Highlights picture gallery, said thanks to a fast response, nobody was hurt.

But he added: “Dave Scougall’s piece bag and flask of tea was unfortunately burnt in the incident.”
