Same Deutz-Fahr launches biggest tractor yet

Same Deutz-Fahr has launched its most powerful tractor yet – the 305hp Deutz-Fahr Agrotron X730.

It uses the firm’s common-rail, high-pressure fuel-injection system and externally cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) to keep emissions down. It’s a torquey engine, says Deutz, with max torque of 1206Nm at just 1600 engine rpm and gear shifting with its automatic powershift system (APS) kept to a minimum to give good fuel economy.

Other features include a front axle with big (590mm) external disc brakes plus a system that pulls the pads away from the discs when they’re not in use to prevent noise and wear from dirt.

In the cab, there’s a new operator information panel (as used in the Agrotron TTV 630) and the new iMonitor option.

The hydraulic system is suitably beefy, with 177 litres/minute flow, a maximum rear linkage lift of 10,500kg and 4500kg lift on the front linkage.
