Amazone has introduced a simple hydraulic steering option for its UX 3200 and UX 4200 trailed sprayers that’s half the price of the electronic Trail-tron system.
No electronics are involved – when the tractor steers a hydraulic ram mounted on the side of the drawbar is pushed or pulled.
This is plumbed into slave rams on the rear axle which steer the wheels in the required direction. The system can be over-ridden by a spool valve and there is a cable operated lock-out for road transport.
