The McCormick range is undergoing a thorough overhaul with the introduction of numerous new ranges, starting with the 85hp to 113hp X50 Synchro Shuttle and 88hp to 113hp X50 Power Shuttle line up, the latter models having power boost management for pto and transport work from a new 3.4-litre Perkins engine. They replace the current McCormick T-Max.
The mid-range is now catered solely by the 92hp to 126hp X60 series as the MC and MTX have been discontinued. The current design will evolve into the X6 line-up in 2014 with new hydraulic and suspension options, and a new cab. Higher power models will also be added featuring the first CVT transmission in a McCormick – and the first CVT built by Argo Tractors.
The McCormick X7 series – 143hp to 212hp – has replaced the X70 (and its XTX and TTX six-cylinder predecessors) with a new combination of technologies – FPT Industrial engines in four- and six-cylinder sizes coupled, ZF powershift transmissions and a new four-post cab with more modern electronic controls. ZF CVT drive will become an option in 2014.
