Aimed at the entry-level market, the new screen is based on a pay-per-use model, which allows farmers to select software suitable for their farm, rather than paying for a larger package with extras they may never use.

This option helps justify the investment in precision equipment and makes it more accessible to smaller growers, the company says.

The X23 has a simple icon-based layout which will be familiar to existing users and can control up to 10 sections on a fertiliser spreader or sprayer, with bolt-on upgrades available for variable rate control and Isobus functions.

Running Topcon’s Horizon software, the display is sunlight-readable and easy to set up on different machines, we are told.

Prices for the new screen will be set by dealers and it is available now.
