Win a great John Deere book

There’s still time for John Deere enthusiasts to take part in our easy-to-enter competition and win a great book about their favourite tractor make.

The Bigger Book of John Deere Tractors – The Complete Model-by-Model Encyclopaedia, by Don Macmillan, is a 288-page collection of pictures and facts that costs £25 in hardback, but Farmers Weekly has a copy to give away.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning it is tell us about your first John Deere tractor. You can send us a sentence or send us an essay, but we want to hear why it was – or is – so memorable.

We’ll publish a few of your musings in the magazine, and the person who sends us the comments we like best will win the book. The closing date is 11 June, 2010.

Email your entries to Tim Relf or add them to our forums.
