THE LATEST directory of professional contractors for agriculture, amenity and other land-based services has just been published by the National Association of Agricultural Contractors (NAAC).

The 2005 directory features more contractors than last year, which reflects the rapid growth in membership of the NAAC, said chief executive, Jill Hewitt.

“By choosing an NAAC contractor, you can be sure that they are properly insured, up-to-date and sympathetic to your needs.

“They are also aware of the necessity to safeguard operator and public safety, animal welfare and the environment. You can be sure you have chosen the professional.”

Fifteen percent more companies are listed in the directory this year, by country (England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland), covering everything from spraying and combining to verge cutting, fence erecting and mobile seed dressing, she said.

An online version of the directory is available free at, or alternatively contact the NAAC offices on 01733 362920.
