2200gns for best bull at HF sale

THE North West Holstein Friesian Club sale at Crewe saw 2200gns paid for D E Daviesand Sons bull, Gornal Black-sam.

By Wa-Del Mystique, and out of a young VG daughter of Spot Ada, he was bought by C T James, Cardigan.

Females reached 2100gns given by Elwyn Thomas, Kidwelly, Dyfed for Graham Wallaces Grahmar Lindy Barbara.

Female champion

Mr Thomas also took the female champion, Holly Duregal Maisie from D W Eardley and Partners, Market Drayton at 1750gns and claimed another seven heifers for his Gatrog herd.

AVERAGES: 24 FR cows £1016; 72 FR heifers £1203 and nine bulls £1177. (Wright-Manley)
