A flail mower to tackle all sorts of material

KUHN Farm Machinery has developed a flail mower which it claims can handle everything from grass to light scrubland.

Available in 2.1m to 3.1m working widths, the VKM mower features bevelled knives mounted in a helical pattern on the rotor – an arrangement designed to ensure more even rotation and help reduce vibration and excessive power requirements.

Cutting action is carried out with bevelled hammer knives working against a welded comb counter bar and a second straight counter bar which is bolted in place. This arrangement gives the mower more robust and universal shredding capability, says Kuhn.

Height adjustment is altered by adjusting the position of an 180mm diameter rear roller. Prices are from £3445 to £3920. &#42
