A hand with computer skills…

On the road to recovery…farmers have been visiting the Learndirect campaign bus which Northallerton College has been taking around villages and towns in North Yorkshire. The "Hand for the Land" scheme, which is part of a national LANTRA training initiative, aims to help country people gain and develop computer skills. "We hope farmers, particularly those emerging from the trauma of foot-and-mouth will see this campaign as a lifeline and a route to better times," said Northallerton College principal Jennifer Slater.
