A super keeper – your views

NOMINATIONS are wanted for the farmers weekly/CLA Game Fair Gamekeeper of the Year award.

We are seeking someone whose work best benefits the land he/she manages for country sports and wildlife. A keeper for today who follows the Code of Good Shooting Practice, considers the implications for wildlife in every aspect of his/her work and is a credit to his/her profession.

Could this be you or someone you know? If so, nominate without delay by sending written details of the keeper, shoot and how his/her work benefits non-game species to Gamekeeper of the Year Award, farmers weekly, Quadrant House, The Quadrant, Sutton, Surrey SM2 5AS or e-mail tessa.gates@rbi.co.uk to arrive by Fri, April 15, 2002.

The winner will receive £300, two runners-up will receive £100 each and all three will get an engraved flask, CLA Game Fair tickets and overnight accommodation for two before the presentation at Broadlands, Hants, on Saturday, July 27.
