Activists destroy GM trees
ENVIRONMENTAL protestors have cut down a trial of genetically-modified trees belonging to Zeneca Plant Sciences at Jealotts Hill, Bracknell.
The trees had been specially engineered for paper-making and contained less lignin than normal trees so less chlorine would be needed in the bleaching process.
