Air mixer may end smelly buildings

FAMILIAR stagnant smells in farm buildings could be a thing of the past says Leics-based SPC.

Its new Eliturbo air mixing unit is designed to improve ventilation and aid moisture and heat dispersion to cut humidity and improve working conditions.

SPC says the gases produced by animal waste can be considerable.

Its fan mixes air from above and below using a special rotor which draws in fresh air from outside, says SPC. In heated buildings the fan is said to save up to 30% of the energy by preventing wasteful accumulation of hot air. An Eliturbo fan costs between £300 and £360 depending on size (0116249-0033).
