Airstrips offer an added attraction

KEEN fliers could be interested in two newly launched properties that feature airstrips.

In Surrey, Strutt & Parker is selling Wishanger New Farm, near Frensham. The entire 225-acre unit, which includes a 50-box stable yard, is valued at £2.5m but the 1000m grass strip, which has planning permission for 200 landings a year, a hangar and 22 acres are priced separately at £900,000.

"It is very rare to find them so close to London and it is difficult to get planning permission," says the firms Natalie Price.

The landing strip at Kingsland and Upwood Farms, near St Ives, Cambs, brings in an £8000/year rental income from a gliding club.

On the market with Bidwells, the 775-acre arable unit is guided at £2.4m and comes with a five-bedroomed Georgian house that agent Jim Bryant says hasnt been touched internally for 20 years. &#42
