ALL-FEMALE FORUM

THE Women in Rural Enterprise Conference will bring together current and future female entrepreneurs at Harper Adams University College, Newport, Shropshire, on Feb 10.

The deepening agricultural crisis has left many farming families looking for new ideas and recent research by the NFU and NFWI has confirmed that women are leading the way in business innovation on the farm. The Rt Hon Mo Mowlem MP and Kate Parminter, director of the Council for the Protection of Rural England, will be among the speakers in a packed programme designed to offer practical advice and support to these entrepreneurs. The conference is open to women who have, or would like to set up their own business. A range of workshops will look at all aspects of starting a new business, including turning ideas into viable enterprises.

Tickets cost £15 including lunch. Full details can be obtained from Fiona Davies or Julie Pescod (01952-815338).
