THE COUNTRYSIDE Alliance lodged papers at the High Court in London on Thurs (Feb10) seeking a judicial review of the Hunting Act.

Both The Times and the Daily Telegraph report the Alliance‘s actions.

The Alliance is claiming that the hunting ban contravenes the European convention on Human Rights.

It claims that a number of ancillary industries associated with hunting such as farriers and saddlers stand to lose business as a result of the ban and that they deserve compensation.
