Anger at skull hoax
NEWS that a leopard skull found in Cornwall had apparently been placed near Bodmin Moor by hoaxers has upset local farmers.
Cornwall North MP, Paul Tyler, the Liberal Democrat farm spokesman, said producers who had suffered unexplained livestock losses over several years were not amused.
Mr Tyler, who lives near the moor, is campaigning for a "proper scientific inquiry" into the big cat mystery.
But farm minister, Douglas Hogg, has ruled out the possibility of MAFF re-opening its inquiry into the Bodmin big cat rumours. *
