Anti-bug flusher reduces cell counts

REDUCE cell counts with Westfalia Surges Backflush automatic cluster disinfecting system, says the company.

Backflush is a self-cleaning, fully automatic disinfecting system that can be fitted to almost any milking parlour, according to Westfalia Surge.

It is said to disinfect individual milking clusters, helping to eliminate harmful bacteria and reduce cell counts. Operated using two pneumatic cylinders and compressed air, it isolates the long milk tube from the milking line while disinfectant is drawn from the chemical drum and channelled directly to clusters.

The attachment costs £300/-point plus installation and air compressor costs (01908-576544, fax 01908-319830).
