Anti-cancer beef

BEEF boasts high levels of the cancer fighting compound conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), according to a report in the US magazine Hoards Dairyman. CLA inhibits cancer in rats and mice and is an effective antioxidant. Canadian research shows CLA is toxic to cancer cells. It is found in several meats and dairy products but is highest in beef. Cooking does not reduce CLA content.
