Anti-hunt protester in hospital after ‘attack’

KEVIN HILL, a leading official of the League Against Cruel Sports, was taken to hospital after he was allegedly attacked by two hunt supporters while monitoring a stag hunt on the Quantock hills in Somerset.

He suffered head, back and stomach injuries and had his camera equipment and radio taken, according to a spokeswoman. Police confirmed they were investigating a report of an alleged assault.

Nigel Muers Raby, chairman of the Quantock hunt, said as far as he was aware members or supporters of the hunt were not involved.
