Arctic weather kills new-born Scottish lambs

HUNDREDS of new-born lambs are being killed as Arctic weather sweeps across Scotland, farmers have warned.

Even some in the more sheltered areas have fallen victim. Kinross and Perth farmers have been worst hit.

The National Farmers Union of Scotland said if the bad weather continued the results could be disastrous. Meteorologists have already warned of progressively colder weather, with possible blizzards over the hills.
