Attractive import

IMPORTED stock bull Preferred Stock was in the sights of several breeders when Brian Carter announced the dispersal of his Heathlands Aberdeen Angus herd.

Among 100 head moved from Kings Lynn, Norfolk, to Carlisle, the 1994-bred bull was by Angus Acres Lancer and was bought by D W Sinclair, Orkney for 4500gns.

George Cormack was busy acting as an agent and paid 2700gns for a served heifer by Hoff Valedictorian and 2000gns twice for served heifers by top sire Windover Justifier and Glennie Spartan.

Also making a successful 2000gns call was J M Hayward, Cornhill-on-Tweed, Northumber-land to secure a second calver by the imported sire Extro suckling a February-born heifer calf. &#42
