Aussie health test
NEW rules could force Australian farmers to undergo a full physical examination and blood tests each time they use OP products.
Australian farming newspaper, The Weekly News has reported that farmers have hit out at the plans contained in a code of practice being considered by State governments branding them inappropriate and impractical.
The code was developed by the National Occupational and Safety Committee. It would force farmers to have compulsory blood tests after handling hazardous chemicals and to keep daily records of the volumes of all hazardous chemicals they stored and used. *
