Australia aims for record beef exports
By FWi staff
AUSTRALIAN beef exports have continued to rise after setting a new record in November, reports the Financial Times.
Expectations are now that exports for 2000 could hit new heights.
November beef exports hit 85,000 tonnes, up 5% on the previous record for November set in 1994.
Total beef exports for 2000 were now set to surpass last years record of 868,000 tonnes, with 890,000-900,000 tonnes likely, says the FT.
