Beef farmers face long campaign to change attitudes

THE lifting of the beef ban is good news for Britain, but farmers still have to overcome misinformation and distrust from a sceptical public.

The Financial Times looks at what measures are being undertaken to change the publics view.

The newspaper notes that the European meat market is in some disarray because of an oversupply expected to last for several years.

The situation is unlikely to be helped by demands from non-European Union producers for access to the EU market.
