Beet harvester suppliers form new company
SUGAR beet harvester suppliers Armer Salmon (UK) and Ploeger Riecam (UK) have merged to form Armer Machinery.
The move follows co-operation between Moreau and Riecam to produce a new sugar beet harvester for the 1996/97 harvest.
Heading new firm
Heading the new company is former managing director of Ploeger Riecam (UK) David McMaster who says the merger will give customers a wider range of products to choose from, and a more comprehensive sales and service facility.
Armer Machinery, whose parent company is the Ireland-based Greencore Group, is targeting a 50% market share of the self-propelled market for potato harvesters, sugar beet harvesters and pea viners.
