Big boys are target for harrows
LARGE farmers and contractors are being targeted as customers for Greenlands new range of Feraboli heavy duty power harrows.
With working widths of 5m and 6m (16ft 5in and 19ft 7in), the T500 and T600 models are built around a square-section chassis claimed to provide strength and durability.
Strength is also compounded in the design of the gearbox which, rated at 250hp, is manufactured in one piece.
Other features include a transmission trough incorporating a one-piece shaft and tine holder – allowing access to both top and bottom rotor bearings without the need to dismantle the entire trough.
Reversible knife tines 30cm (12in) long, enable soil to be worked to a depth of 25cm (10in) – the tines themselves each attached by recessed bolts.
The 5m model is available with a fixed or folding trough – the latter folding to a transport width of 2.23m (7ft 4in) – and the 6m version can be folded to a width of 2.4m (7ft 10in). Hydraulic folding is used for both models.
Options include the choice of a crumbler packer or flexicoil rollers which can be fitted with hydraulic depth control. A clod bar can also be specified.
Price of the T500 starts at £21,560 and the T600, with a crumbler roller, £24,635.
