GORNAL Black Adder – a Fatal son and bred from the Spot Ada family – made 2700gns at the North Western Holstein Friesian Breeders clubs annual Wexham Cup fixture at Crewe. From breeders D E Davies and Son, he was bought by local dairy farmer Malcolm Davies. Another bull from the Gornal herd made 2500gns to Atkin Farms, Uttoxeter.

Winner of the Wexham Cup – based on classification, index and inspection scores of the bull and its dam – was Honeypot Henry, a Mascot son from The Honeypot Partnership, Chepstow. Buyer was R Neill, Perthshire at 2000gns.
