Black market fine
REGINALD Clement, a Stafford-shire dairy farmer, was fined £3,500 last week for black market milk offences.
Stoke on Trent Magistrates Court found Mr Clement, Ball Green Farm, Norton, Stoke on Trent, guilty of four offences in connection with selling milk to an unapproved purchaser.
He was also ordered to pay £300 costs. The Intervention Board, which prosecuted Mr Clement, will now assess how much milk he sold without quota and charge him super-levy on it. *
