British GM research goes overseas
By FWi staff
A BRITISH firm may switch research into genetically modified livestock and crops from the West to China and Brazil, reports The Daily Mail.
Opponents of GM technology claim this expected move by Nycomed-Amersham is to avoid protests in the West and take advantage of less stringent regulations elsewhere.
The work in pigs is being jointly-funded by the Danish government.
