British truckers&146; payout for French farmers strike

BRITISH lorry drivers have been told they will receive compensation for loss of earnings when they were caught up in the French farmers strikes last year and in 1996.

There are 149 compensation claims. So far the French Government has paid four British firms a total of £800.
