A SILAGE shear grab that can also be used as a conventional bucket to handle dry feeds is now available from Wylie Engineering.
Enabling users to load their feeder wagons with ingredients without having to swap buckets, the unit has a hinged floor which is hydraulically raised when the grab is in its uppermost position to expose the fork tines.
With silage on board, the floor is retained in its upright position. When empty the floor returns to cover the tines allowing the unit to be used as a bucket. Only one hydraulic supply is required to operate the system. Price of this potentially time saving and innovative shear grab is £2800. *
