Bull prices fall at Perth October sales

THE average price paid for Aberdeen-Angus bulls fell heavily on the first day of the annual October sales, at United Auctions, in Perth.

The 65 bulls sold averaged £2572 – down £600 on 1997. There were 47 bulls left unsold.

Prices peaked at 6000gns (£6300).
