Campaigners join fight for consequential losses

By FWi staff

ABOUT 350 farmers have registered with north of England land agent Clark Scott-Harden to provide information for the companys campaign to recoup consequential losses for foot-and-mouth victims.

CSHs Miles MacInnes, who is running the campaign with David Knowles of Midlands-based Carver Knowles, said they also needed to hear from the large number of farmers whose stock were slaughtered as contiguous culls.

“The response has been excellent and now we can start to collate information to present to the Parliamentary Ombudsman but we want to hear from even more farmers who feel they have a case to claim for consequential loss.”
