Campaigners urge phase-out of
battery cages for laying hens


COMPASSION in World Farming presented a report on hens in battery cages to the National Farmers Union in London.


Campaigners are urging farmers to help free millions of laying hens imprisoned in tiny cages. The document calls for British farmers to take the lead in Europe and support a uniform ban on cages.
