Cannon calf is Lim topper

FEMALE progeny of Broad- meadows Cannon continues to be among the most sought after by Limousin breeders. And at the breed societys autumn fixture at Banbury it was a daughter that topped the sale at 3500gns.

Served heifer Wedmore Jess, consigned by Mrs E M Stitch, Wedmore, Somerset, is out of a Tanhill Sogood dam and was in-calf to Astre. Having stood female champion, she went to E and N Phillips, Abergavenny.

Heading the bulls was Planners Lion, a March 1995 son of Carthorpe Fido with a Beef Value of +40 from &#42 B and L J Lear, Aylesbury. He was bought by Lady Rothschild, Marlborough.
