Case/Steyr deal finalised
CASE reports it has now completed a 75% acquisition of Austrian tractor maker Steyr, although actual terms of the acquisition remain undisclosed.
The firm will be known as Case Steyr Landmaschinentechnik AG and former parent company, Steyr-Daimler-Puch will retain a 25% holding. Leopold Plattner, vice-president and managing director of Case Europe believes the addition of the Steyr tractor line-up will complement his companys product range.
"This acquisition builds upon our year-old sourcing agreement with Steyr. We plan to continue to offer the tractors under both the Case and Steyr brands," he says.
Tractors from 48hp to 150hp are available from Steyr. *
