Cattle return to Greenham Common

CATTLE have returned to graze on Greenham Common for the first time in 50 years as part of a scheme to restore the former air base to its original commonland use.

The land, on which thousands of women set up camp for years in protest at the siting of cruise missiles at the base, will be home to 300 cows and ponies within a year.
