Cereal Industries and Agrovista in jv plan

CEREAL Industries Ltd and Agrovista BV announced on Wednesday plans to establish a joint venture aimed at offering farmers a package of both farm inputs and marketing solutions.

Agrovista BV includes UK companies such as Crop Care and Profarma with cereal Industries Ltd, owned by Associated British Foods, including Allied Grain and Fishers Seeds and Grain.

The companies plan to provide a “plough to plate” service to their farmer customers through the combined skills of both companies.

Inputs under the joint venture will be trialled and demonstrated on Crop cares Crop Management Centre, Fishers Seeds and Grains trial sites and Profarmas select agronomy trials.

Subject to contractual negotiations between the parties further information will be expected in February.
