Champion beef farmer quits

PRIZE beef farmer David Mills is leaving the industry because hes no longer making any money out of it.

He announced his departure after winning a major prize at the Royal Bath and West Show, Shepton Mallett, yesterday.

He said he was quitting beef farming before it ruined him financially. He will sell his 65-strong pedigree Simmental herd at auction next month.
