Changes mean Kintonmagna HFs on market

REORGANISATION at the Hinks familys Lower Nyland Farm, near Gillingham, brought about a sale of 135 Holstein heifers carrying the noted Kintonmagna prefix.

This unreserved offering, after the decision that Graham Hinks should take over the milking herd, brought heifers from some of the most regarded families from Grove, Future, Noremead, Hunday, Deehaven, Lavenham, as well as the high PIN Marie family from Holland.

A tall calved heifer by Dombinator and out of a Pearl cow by Prelude led the trade at 1650gns. Kintonmagna Pearl 4th has a PIN £74 and heads for Devizes, Wilts with R Francis.

The next highest call came soon after when Andrew Fry of Bridport, Dorset set his heart on a heifer and her heifer calf and paid 1250gns for Kintonmagna Dallas and another 250gns for her daughter by San Fermo Aerostar Raven. Dallas – PIN £57 – is by Hanoverhill Lieutenant.

Other calved heifers made 1080gns and 1040gns with in-calf heifers selling to 1050gns for Kintonmagna Butterfly 13th – PIN £63. This daughter of Barnkamper Quality went to Clive Tory, Spettisbury, Dorset. (Greenslade Taylor Hunt.) &#42
