Charity plans threatened

DISPUTES between the UK and Ethiopian governments over human rights is jeopardising some of FARM-Africas leading agricultural development programmes.

Speaking at the charitys annual meeting in London, project co-ordinator Alastair Bradstock said the Ethiopian government wanted to terminate all bilateral aid programmes involving the UKs Department for International Development (formerly ODA).

Mr Bradstock said this could affect the extension of FARM-Africas dairy goat programme, which was to have expanded this year beyond Ethiopias Highlands region where it has been running for the past decade. &#42
