Chef resigns after Princes beef gaffe
THE head chef at the hotel in Newport where the Prince of Wales was served beef on the bone on Monday resigned yesterday (Tuesday).
Eddie Fitzpatrick joined the hotel as executive chef from the Ritz Carlton in Barcelona.
The hotel has apologised for any “embarrassment” caused to the Prince of Wales and Alun Michael, the Secretary of State for Wales, after serving them the beef.
But the possibility remains that environmental health officers will prosecute the hotels owners for breaking the law.
